As summer heats up, we will be getting calls for protection from Stinging Pests. Mosquitoes, Hornets, Wasps and Yellow Jackets will invade your outdoor space if the opportunity is open. If you want to enjoy your pool, tub, picnic party with less risk of getting stung…try these tips….
Here are some tips to reduce the chance of getting STUNG at your next outdoor, Summer, event:
A) Have the UNDERSIDE of nearby foliage treated with a residual material about 12 hours prior to your event.
B) be sure all sweet drinks are kept under lid….do not have open cups or cans….use straws….
c) burn TIKI Torches at the perimeter of the event seating area
D) keep garbage containers covered – assign someone to empty them and put fresh bags in the cans about every hour….
E) Use fans to keep the air moving…..stinging pests are not good at flying into the wind….
F) Keep food covered until it is ready to be served….clear the plates, do not leave abandoned food on the tables after guests have eaten their fill
G) move lights to the exterior perimeter….get them up high on poles or into trees….avoid putting a light on the table if possible
